Hi all -here is something to help!

If you are so inclined and have some time on election day....!

Consider calling your local Democratic headquarters and volunteering to drive needy people to the polls.

I have done it and it feels good. Also, it helps calm me in close elections. Otherwise I get soooo nervous! Mostly it is older folks who need a ride.

Just a thought. I do understand some people worry who they might be picking up, and not everyone is comfortable doing it.

If you are retired like me, offering up yourself to Democrats for whatever service is good for the soul!😉

With the loosening of absentee ballot rules, we seldom have calls for a ride to the polls anymore rurallib Oct 2016 #2

This is Iowa.
I think the last time I gave someone a ride to the polls was 2004 and that was a trip to the auditor's office to vote early.

Just going to help make calls and be available if someone should call for a ride would probably be quite helpful.

I know I will be making calls on election day.
