Alex Wagner: Wikileaks emails "confirm" corruption at Clinton Foundation

I have With All Due Respect on in the background, where Alex Wagner was interviewing Jennifer Granholm in their last segment. She asked Gov. Granholm if the Clinton camp should be worried because the Wikileaks emails "confirm" that the Clinton Foundation was corrupt, and that they "sort of" validate the narrative that there are "different rules" for Secretary Clinton.

Two things:

1. What "corruption" has been "proven" in the emails? None that I've seen.

2. Since when is the standard of wrongdoing "sort of?" Do we charge people for crimes with "I can't prove you did anything illegal, but your actions don't quite pass the eyeball test?"

Sorry, I'm venting. I had to mute it after that, so I don't know how Gov. Granholm handled this claptrap.

Alex no longer really talks about tRump building that wall along the border, since her return to MSNBCRNC. She used to be very vocal about that. Now, not so much.

Anything for a job on MSNBCRNC

Bullshit. If I were Granholm I'd laugh at him.

too bad NOBODY cares about the emails

Both Faux and MSNBC are trying to figure out their new wheelhouse if Trump/Britebart start up a new far right teevee network.

That whole Alex Wagner discussion was utterly irresponsible. When she has some facts, put them on the table for discussion. Prosecution by innuendo is bullshit.

the WikiLeaks emails produce any of them to back up what they say.

Nina Turner was on last night talking about emails with no evidence, no email, no quote, nothing.

None of them have read any of the emails.

Well, are they stepping up and claiming ownership of any of them?

No evidence of them not being legitimate. The one that was questioned wasn't as Blumenthal sent the email with quotes from the Newsweek in the body of the message and it's obvious from the context. Not a case of fake emails lifting from the Newsweek article as if Sid wrote those quotes himself.

We need to take Wikileaks with a grain of salt. There are suggestions that emails may be forged and also produced through Russia.

http://thedailybanter.com/2016/10/trump-collaborated-with-a-russian-news-agency/

This particular piece isn't the one I was looking for, but Cesca has written a few times in the past few days that Wikileaks is very closely tied to Russia and should not be treated as a credible source at this point.

It is seriously not cool that Russia is so deeply involved in our electoral politics.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/chelsea-clinton-foundation-conflicts-emails-229605

It involves a name that keep coming up a lot in foundation stories, Doug Band. Honestly, the guy seems like a real weasel. I think Bill Clinton should disassociate himself from Band. Still it's not really a story about the foundation per se.

Chelsea flagged 'serious concerns' about Clinton Foundation conflicts
Hacked emails reveal bitter infighting about how to deal with a Clinton-linked consulting firm's business.

...Teneo, in particular, did lucrative work for foundation donors and entities with business before Clinton’s State Department. And it signed a contract reportedly worth $3.5 million with Bill Clinton to serve as an adviser (though the former president ultimately kept only $100,000 of that, according to his tax returns and a source familiar with the arrangement). Teneo also paid Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s right-hand woman at the State Department, as a “senior advisor.”

One of the pair of Clintonites who founded Teneo, Declan Kelly, was working for Clinton’s State Department while laying the groundwork for the firm, as revealed by POLITICO. POLITICO also exposed that the other Teneo founder, longtime Bill Clinton aide Doug Band, was drawing salaries from both the Clinton Foundation and the former president’s taxpayer-subsidized personal office, while another early Teneo official, Justin Cooper, was being paid by Clinton’s taxpayer-funded office, even as he was performing maintenance on Hillary Clinton’s controversial private email server.

...Chelsea Clinton indicated that during a trip to London “two people separately voiced concerns directly to me about Teneo,” while a third told her chief of staff that a Bill Clinton staffer “has called Members of the House and Members of Parliament, ‘on behalf of President Clinton,’ for Teneo clients” including Dow Chemical, a major Clinton Foundation donor.
