Could a person get elected to the Senate without any government experience?

Obama had very limited government experience and that worked out for him. And Ashley has been heavily involved in humanitarian work, so you might compare her to Elizabeth Warren in some respects.

I think the answer to my question is "yes" but it is surely the main line of attack that McConnell would use.

Anybody from KY here that could say how popular Ashley is in KY?

Very popular my dear. She was born in Ashland, KY. She graduated from the University of Kentucky. She is a regular attendant at NCAA Champion University of Kentucky Wildcat games, blue and white pom-pom in hand. She has a Masters from Harvard. She is up on issues, like anti mountain-top-removal (unafraid to go up against "Big Coal&quot . She also did some world advocacy work against childhood sex rings (Did I say that right?) Everyone knows who Ashley is in KY, all the way back to the farthest hollow. All we have to do is convince her to run. God knows KY needs a REAL advocate in the Senate, instead of thumb-with-a-face-on-it McConnell. When was the last time you ever heard Mitch McConnell mention the people of KY? He doesn't represent KY, he represents himself. Mitch doesn't look healthy to me. I hope and pray that he steps forward very soon and RESIGNS.

Yeah, I think Ashley would be a great Senator for Kentucky.

Ms. Judd was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky on May 9, 2009. She subsequently earned a Mid-Career Master in Public Administration degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in 2010.

PBO was re-elected..

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, said: "The voters have not endorsed the failures or excesses of the President’s first term, they have simply given him more time to finish the job they asked him to do together with a Congress that restored balance to Washington. Now it’s time for the President to propose solutions that actually have a chance of passing the Republican-controlled House of Representatives and a closely-divided Senate, step up to the plate on the challenges of the moment, and deliver in a way that he did not in his first four years in office."

War is big business for Republicans and so is looting the people's Fed! The only account that has any money in it is SS/Med, 2.7 trillion that the people have paid into all of their live! That money is the people's money not Republican money and it adds nothing to the deficit!

I HATE MITCH MCCONNELL! IS THAT BAD????

Hopefully, we can get her mom and her sister to come around and support her. Never did understand why Naomi Judd, a single mother, would back a party that persecutes single mothers.
