If Trump is as wealthy as he says and his victory in this election . . .

. . . is as important to the future of this country and to Western civilization itself as he says
. . .
then I'd expect him to be spending lots of his own money in his campaign.

Is he? Does anyone know?

If he isn't then I'd say either he isn't as wealthy as he says he is
or he doesn't really believe the election is an important as he says.

All that talk about being a 10-billionaire and not having to be beholden to others because he could fund his own campaign.

He is just a lousy, stinking liar.

And they will never get off that idea, because Trump will never recant it.

...like he does the people who work for him. Or just grifting for a future better-paying gig, a la SparkleMoose.
