2016 Postmortem

said Melania's statement with Anderson Cooper was preposterous. He blasted the lack of personal responsibility demonstrated by the Trumps. He clearly was seething at this entire obscene spectacle called the republican candidate.
He also seemed to take notice of Hillary's grace and dignity while in the middle of this nightmare campaign.
Schmidt looks like he is losing weight. Either he went on a diet or he is so depressed he can't eat.

He also talked about the recklessness of Trump inviting and being in cahoots with a foreign nation, our biggest rival nation, actively infiltrating our election.
Schmidt and Ana Navarro are the only two Republicans with the courage to tell the truth and to reject Trump openly.

(10,893 posts)I find myself scratching my head about why he's still a Republican. He seems so out of sync with the rest of the party every time I hear from him.
brush
(53,925 posts)this whole acceptance of Wikileaks/Russia interference with our election.
I think he's a throwback to when Republicans would sometime work for the good of the country not just for maintaining their party's power and its ability to obstruct the Dems.

But it would be nice to have someone of his caliber in our party.

(26,164 posts)I'm also betting his buddy Nicole Wallace will do the same -- she didn't vote for McCain because of Palin (she stated she didn't vote for Prez that year), and Trump is worse than Palin.

When you parade around in front of the camera with Donald every chance you get (prior to the election), have major magazines cover your wedding, your apartment & your kid, work as a nude model on multiple magazine covers and call into Howard Stern show and respond to the question, "are you naked" with a giggle and an answer of "almost" you do NOT qualify as a private person. What horse hockey.
She is a bought and paid for mail order trophy bride. She does what she is told to do in exchange for a wealthy lifestyle. She is despicable and when people speculate about her leaving Donald. Ha - not til he is out of money. The only good thing I think about her as first lady as it she likely would not be in that position long before the Tangerine blows up the world. She is an embarrassment. Not as big a one as her husband, but an embarrassment nonetheless.
