Remarkable things I've heard on air (not exact quotes).
There are no bombshells in the Wall Street transcripts. Just some evidence that Clinton was not as harsh in her criticism as Sanders supporters would like.
The Podesta e-mails are interesting to beltway junkies, but there's nothing of interest to most of America.
If the Podesta e-mails show one thing it's that John Podesta is a (wish I could remember the exact phrase... but controlled, polite.... stuff like that.)
Would that they had been that sensible way back when.

(17,751 posts)... their fiduciary responsibility is to maximize profits for the shareholders. We've already heard the the head of NBC is loving the profits ... in campaign ad revenue, viewership, and reduced diversification of news coverage (saving $$$).
Their job, like for-profit insurance, is to reduce coverage, and increase profits.
I don't understand how anyone doesn't get this. Get out your Orwell.

(5,995 posts)Watching more than 2 minutes of any of the other 17 GOP candidates would have boosted HGTV viewership, not the "news" networks. The $2B free airtime for Trump just hooked viewers for them. Now they know a Trump administration would be disastrous for the economy and he's handed them even more fuel to amp up viewership.
There is no fire in the smoke being blown at HRC, so they'll continue to fan the flames of Trump's burnout.
