...and is pretty much broke, what's a campaign director to do? He's not having any effect on the campaign, and he's unlikely to be paid. Jim Murphy obviously decided that the next two weeks could be spent on more productive endeavors - like looking for a job.

but I think its a career move, those that don't jump ship won't have a career after the election, they will be disenfranchised.

This guy was running Trump's campaign in the states, he was in charge of the GOTV effort and the entire ground game. For him to bail just 2-1/2 weeks from election day is unprecedented and a huge blow to the Trump campaign. Pretty akin to a football team losing starting QB a week before the Super Bowl.
