Eric Trumps Great Lemonade Heist: Billionaires Son Caught Stealing At Las Vegas In-N-Out
Lisa Sanchez
Eric Trump, the son of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, has set the internet on fire with a photo that shows him stealing lemonade from a Las Vegas In-N-Out Burger.
The third child of the Trump clan usually plays second fiddle to his older siblings, Ivanka and Donald Trump, Jr., but he still managed to get himself into hot water on social media. Eric Trumps wife, Lara, posted a post-presidential debate photo on Instagram Wednesday night. The photo showed the smiling couple enjoying a victory meal in support of the Trump family patriarch.
Although the image may seem innocent enough, the real shocker comes later in the visit when Eric Trump takes a photo with another patron of the In-N-Out Burger.

Huffington Post reported that the man in the picture next to Trump is named Grant and the photo was taken by David Winkelman, who later posted it to Twitter. A plastic cup for water is clearly visible in Trumps left hand, except its holding what appears to be lemonade.
Although this isnt a terrible crime, as Winkelman points out on Twitter, the image of Trumps kid, a billionaires son, cheating In-N-Out Burger out of free drinks seems pretty shady. The younger Trump has demonstrated time and again that he doesnt understand how money or millennials work in relation to his fathers campaign so he may think he can buck the whole system.
Of course, Eric Trumps lemonade theft may be another indicator that the 32 year old simply doesnt understand how money works in general. Eric has reportedly spent more than $880,000 of Trump Foundation money on plastic surgery, paintings of Donald Trump, and his own golf courses.

(14,565 posts)I order water at Burger King and Cici's. The clear cup they give me is less than half that size. I always make sure to get water only, even when my 10 year old niece says nobody is watching at Cici's.
Last week I almost mentioned that In N Out here on debate night. It is on the east side of UNLV's campus along Maryland Parkway. Very popular, although I don't get the attraction.

(14,565 posts)It has that reputation but I'll never understand why. My first day at USC from Miami my roommates swore I'd thank them for the rest of my life for introducing me to the place. Next thing I know we're holding cardboard boxes with minuscule mediocre burgers. I thought they were kidding me. The USC hangout Tommy's is far superior to In N Out, and so are countless other burger joints.
I moved to Las Vegas and In N Out eventually showed up. Perhaps once every two years I'd try it again. Nothing changed. I'd wonder why I bothered. The only standout aspect is the quality and attitude of the help. They hire very enthusiastic young workers.

(1,278 posts)I happen to like it, but they won't be coming to my part of the world as long as the Snyder family owns most of the company. Then it will become Jack-in-the-Box, which lost much coming East.

(14,565 posts)I see the theme on one message board after another, regardless of focus on that message board. I've had this conversation on the largest golf message board. Also a college football board. And so forth. Many people who rarely make it West prioritize a trip to In-N-Out when they are out there. The theme shows up from Hannah Storm every year during the Rose Bowl parade telecast.
I read all the positives and sample again, but I'm never captured. I concede the most recent visit was the most positive experience. It was nearby London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Funny you mention Jack-in-the-Box because I do prefer it to In-N-Out. I realize that is rare. Jumbo Jacks for a while were 99 cents then $1.29. Now much higher. I am a night person. Jack-in-the-Box in Las Vegas stays open all night, unlike other fast food joints. Often I've grabbed 2 Jumbo Jacks and some 99 cent chicken sandwiches at maybe 3-6 AM at the Jack-in-the-Box on Maryland Parkway not far from this In-N-Out in question.

(1,278 posts)The same could be said for Bojangles Chicken and Biscuits out West, it would lose something in the translation and taste. Being in the Carolinas, Bo is a thing, not unlike Cheerwine cherry soda. Each region has it's specialties and In N Out is one for the left coast.

It's not really a matter of opinion. Trump put lemonade in the free water cup. It's a photo.
