Please correct me if I'm wrong regarding how the emails got onto Weiner's laptop:
As I understand it, it goes like this:
1) Huma would receive many emails as Hillary's "gatekeeper" of messages. 2) Hillary wanted them in hard copy, and Huma would print them off, maybe even at home, by forwarding emails to her other email accounts. 3) Some of these forwarded emails were emails received by Huma on the account attached to the Clinton server. 4) If she had ever used Weiner's laptop for email purposes, even if only once, the forwarded emails would sync to that account/device. 5) It is likely that most or all of these emails have already been seen by the FBI because they would have also been captured on the Clinton server which they have already investigated. Am I getting this straight? Please correct any misunderstandings as my tech knowledge is limited. Also, I thought they were in negotiations to search through these emails voluntarily? Now they have a warrant. What do you suppose it up with that?

1. None of us actually know how emails got on Weiner's laptop.
Your theory certainly is a possibility. The story about them being in negotiation (published by cnn) was completely bogus.

2. OK, how COULD they have gotten there? What is most likely? It was a "shared" device, right?

3. Likely
Your explanation is a likely one, but we have no way of knowing.
It's one reason why Comey should have kept his mouth shut. |

4. Seems like that could be a reasonable explanation. Also,
seems to me it shouldn't be too hard to set up a "match" program to compare those emails on the laptop with the emails the FBI has already looked at and has in their possession - and quickly confirm this whole thing is nothing.

5. Could be that Huma's password was on Anthony's laptop because
she used it at least once. Maybe he was browsing through her email account?

6. I'd previously read that NONE of the e-mails came from or were received by Hillary.
If true, that would make Comey name-dropping Clinton absolutely absurd!
Comey supposedly wanted to see if Huma's e-mails contained any confidential information. I've read other reports that the e-mails haven't even been examined yet, so that would seem make the claim that none of them came from Hillary to be an "empty" assertion too. I'm still confused by it, to be honest. |

7. Add that she USED to use that machine.
Then got another one and forgot that she had used the one now in question.

8. I think it has something to do with the sync you raise
Maybe they used to share the laptop and she left those email and password credentials and never updated her password.
Whenever he fired up his email, he could then get updates of what was on her email account automatically. That would explain why she wasn't aware of that data on his laptop. All conjecture on my part but but very plausible. Whatever Hillary's intentions were with her private server to secure her private emails ... looks like something like the above was all that was needed to sustain a steady leak ... |
