Ignorance really would be bliss

Being a reasonably well informed critical thinker has its disadvantages. It’s just plain painful to watch Trump and his goons’ artful appeal to his base of extremely stupid voters. They know his audience well and show utter contempt for their ignorance and lack of curiosity by tossing large chunks of excrement for them to instantly devour without so much as stopping to chew. Trump supporters smart enough to see the deception chuckle at the con artist's mastery. His latest barrage suggests that the sheer number of emails Anthony Weiner had on his laptop was in itself damning. Kellyanne Conway tells his truth-immune followers that Comey’s cryptic letter is equivalent to a second FBI investigation. When you are not hampered by even the slightest inclination to be truthful, there is no limit to what you can feed voters willing to be duped. Sadly there is not enough air time for fact checkers to even begin to challenge the lies.

their campaign ways are hilariously obvious, such as the vapid stare that serves as an answer to an unwelcome question. I can't imagine how they are behind closed doors.
