Christie: 'All signs point to an incredible turnout for Donald Trump'

WASHINGTON — Gov. Chris Christie is back on the fundraising circuit, trying to bring in money to help fund the White House transition should Donald Trump be elected president Nov. 8.

"All signs point to an incredible turnout for Donald Trump that will put him over the top and make him our next president," Christie, who is chairing Trump's transition effort, said in a fundraising email.

"We've been hard at work developing an action plan for what comes next after Mr. Trump wins – including appointing a cabinet, lifting bad regulations and executive orders and crafting a bold legislative agenda," Christie said.

The transition committee can accept donations of up to $5,000.

Poor Chris; I bet Trump won't even visit him in prison. Of course, that might be because Trump is in a different prison.

Whatever else he is, I didn't think Christie was this stupid. It is obvious that Trump will lose. What could Christie possibly have to gain by putting himself out there like this for a losing candidate? I don't get it.

Much like Trump, I believe they both thought of their presidential run as a 'get out of jail free' card. Their miscalculation, of course, was how hard it was to actually get elected. In one sense, I guess they thought one of those old 'traditions' would get them in. The US electorate has flipped the WH almost every 8 years since forever. They both thought it would be a bit of a shoe-in. Once he lost the primary, Christie probably thought hitching his wagon to the Trump star would still get him a cabinet post and a presidential pardon from his troubles.

Oops.
