Related: About this forumActor James Franco steps out of shower to endorse Hillary Clinton in new ad
By Jeff Taylor · Wednesday, November 2, 2016
James Franco is out with his second ad endorsing Hillary Clinton, this time wearing nothing more than a towel emblazoned with her campaign logo.
She didnt just bring Iran to the table, she whittled the table from a single piece of oak. Her laugh is in the Smithsonian. Yoda was her apprentice. Shes the most interesting woman in the world, Franco says. I dont always endorse candidates. But when I do, theyre extraordinary. Vote wisely, my friends.

(1,716 posts)Watching 8 episode Hulu series 11 22 63 on Netflix now. Franco is the star.
Based on Stephen King novel. A time traveller goes back to stop killing of JFK.
I enjoy historical fiction and this is so very 60's. If you are a classic car buff watch just for the cars. They are outstanding.
Well worth a binge.

(3,843 posts)As I really enjoyed the novel and like historical fiction too and the '60s. Husband would enjoy for the cars.

(5,626 posts)Even though we were born way after the Kennedy assassination, we've always been very interested in films/shows about the subject. We were surprised how moving we found this show and the way it explores one of those tragic "what ifs" of history. And Franco is excellent in it. It is definitely worth watching.

Hillary Clinton can add James Francos endorsement to her list of celebrity backers.
On Wednesday the actor and filmmaker appeared in a $1 million digital ad campaign backing the Democratic nominee. The 30-second ad is a play off the Dos Equis beer Most Interesting Man in the World campaign.
The ad features old photos and videos of Clinton including one of her taking a shot with ease as Franco narrates.
The smartest guy in the room is always her. After she opens a can of whoopa--- she always recycles the can. Her secret service code name is Hermoine because she is a f------ wizard, shes the most interesting woman in the world, Franco says. I dont always endorse candidates, but when I do theyre extraordinary.

(90,021 posts)I'm not a raging James Franco fan the way my daughter is. But I can certainly get behind this! Moustache or not. I thought I liked my husband clean-shaven, but when he grew a moustache and beard, I realized I liked that, too!

(5,626 posts)ages ago and thought he completely stole the show even though he wasn't the main actor ( Freaks and Geeks was the sadly short-lived show written by Judd Apatow). Franco is one of those talented actors that can do great comedic stuff as well as very serious drama.
His father was a professor at Stanford, and I remember reading in an interview that Franco was very interested in academic work -- this was when he was enrolled in various university courses. He took his film class to the set of the Oz film to show them how work on a big-budget film was done -- they loved the experience.
