11. I have never believed this. Why would news organizations waste time and money on a story

just to "bury it"? why not just cancel the story before the reporter wastes any more time on it?

it's just that they report the story at a time when people are more focused on weekend plans and activities, maybe even a bit of travel.

so people tend not to focus on the story. come monday, when they are ready to focus, it's old news already.

It's a long standing tradition to release stories on a Friday to die over the weekend.

Wed often a slow news day - no government reports, etc. You want it early enough in the day so it makes it into the evening political chitchat. And bombshells on Wed dominate the news the rest of the week right into the Sunday talk fests.

That was a bombshell. Many think it cost him the popular vote.
