1. What Romney is saying is that a black man had no business at Harvard, I'm thinking.

It's OK if HE does it, but a black man doing the same damn thing is getting "uppity" in his eyes.

2. Romney will say anything to win

Though I doubt this is a winning line. "Yeah, Obama is so smart. He went to Harvard and learned about business. What a loser."

..or maybe he's implying that Obama should have been mopping the floors at Harvard..rather than, you know, attending, as a student.. a little dog whistle comment for the racist base? ..maybe both? He just looks like a hypocrite and a fool, either way.

And none of it has really stuck. And if the healtcare mandate is overturned by the court, they will really be high and dry with nothing to stand against Obama on leading into November.

So they either make shit up or pretend they are not associated with anything they want to use against him.
