Dan Rather is just full of shit. He’s talking about Obama being too soft on Rachel’s Show....

Rather to me is the the epitome of being soft on everything.Never herd a peep out of
him when he was ridden out of CBS. Reminded everyone during the hrs before the election
that Romney had a very good chance of winning. Tonight he is going on and on about
Obama’s weak spine. How Republicans have won a major battle.
I’ll tell you this ...... Obama did this for a reason and I know its a good reason.
Something is up with Rice with this nomination and I am backing my Pres. because
I trust him.......certainly more than I trust Rather’s assertions.

Anything less rewards McCain's batshit crazy behavior and convinces every Republican that Obama has no guts. If he wouldn't stand up for Susan Rice, what will he really fight for?

but I'm not seeing it.

It is clear that we are looking at 4 years of intransigence and outrageous behavior from the GOP and Obama isn't willing to take on a public fight that would change that dynamic.

McCain and Graham needed to be spanked badly on this one. Obama has made it clear there is nothing to his mandate and there will be no consequences for anything.

analysis, but just if the Republicans bitch about someone/something that's who/what he's supposed to use/do and if they praise someone/something that's who he's supposed to avoid. No need to examine anything on its own merits? Just do the opposite of whatever Republicans say.

What if the Republicans were to figure your strategy out?

If Obama wasn't prepared to nominate her, he should not have allowed her to stand as the default nominee for a month.

Our biggest problem in Washington is not the quality of analysis by the President. Our biggest problem is the misbehavior by Republicans. The way Obama handled this, he made our worst problem even worse.

For some reason he loathes Obama. I have never heard him say one positive thing about the president. I actually felt embarrassed for him in his appearance on Rachel's show a few days before the election. It was as if he was a Romney surrogate and in the end everything he predicted was totally off the mark. It was pathetic and he wasn't much better in his interview this evening. There was a time when I loved the guy, but not anymore. Why Rachel continues to worship him beats me.

It baffled me. It was on Morning Joe. Everyone was saying the polls were breaking for Obama. They had John Heilemann on, who had said he was in contact with Chicago and they were very confident about their numbers ... even Chuck Todd admitted it felt like Obama had the momentum heading into the day and then they pan to Rather, who talks about how he feels it in his gut that Romney will have a good day.

WHAT. THE. FUCK, DAN?

THIS is how the beltway media works.

THIS IS A REPUBLICAN MEME!

They went to soft headed inside DC media people like Andre Mitchell and implanted it, and being the self ingratiating twits they have lapped it up. It is inside baseballish, in their minds makes them look all knowing.

But, it is one of the half dozen or so go to republican moves - blame the Ds for doing what they are doing.

Condi Rice could not hold Susan's Rice's jock, but somehow the media got in line with saying how great Condi was while innocently standing back and letting moron Rs pile on Susan Rice, then for good measure, blaming the President for it.
