It's not like Obama could have done much more to support Rice, He came out publicly for her ...

Wait, he could have gone on TV and made a joke of McCain, stating, "John (yes first fucking name, NO MOTHER FUCKING RESPECT EARNED) you need to get over the election, and a man who nominated Sarah Palin hasn't earned any right to pass judgment on a Rhodes Scholar, I will mark you as a no vote!"

God DAMN IT! I don't care if she was the third best choice, it had to be rammed down the Republicans throat!

She backed out because she didn't want to put the Country through the fight.

Can I touch you?

Give me a break. You can't even begin to relate to what Rice is going through right now and don't pretend that you can. You're not the one whose name could be dragged through the mud - put under constant attack for your beliefs and ultimately becoming, maybe in her view, a liability to the President's ability to lead. Get the fuck off your high horse Mr. Sideline reporter and stop pretending you've got skin in this game. You don't. This isn't about you - it's never been about you. Some people decided, at no fault of their own, that the fight just isn't worth it in the end game. If that's Rice's choice, while I'm disappointed, I can respect it and move on. You should too.

I fucking never said it was about me, FOCUS! She was cut off at the knees, Obama had a choice for a fight, he ducked, that is a failure. And that will have impact later.

Again I never said it was about me, stop the projection!

This is supposed to be a nomination for Secretary of State where we use diplomacy and try NOT to go to war. Yet you advocate President Obama, who's got more than enough shit on his plate as is, to go to war with the Republicans??

If you're really pissed off at someone, go after the fucking Rethugs who have publicly dragged her reputation through the mud, called her "dumb" among other racist and bigoted pejoratives (however veiled), and demonized her day after day after day. Then, when they were completely proven wrong, they went about to demonize her, but yeah, blame President Obama because it's all HIS fault.

And yes it is the WWF. If the opponent is playing the game that way, at some point you drop down to their level and kick their ass! That is the Chicago Way! Talking like a bad ass is one thing, at some point you have to be a bad ass.

But I still stand by what I've written. Still, there are more ways than one to skin the GOP, as President Obama has shown again and again and again.

It's entirely possible he tried talking her out of it and she flat out told him that she can't do it. Don't act like you know how this played out. Obama went to bat for her in the media, stood behind her all these weeks and I see no reason to believe he forced her to write that letter. She wrote it - she made the decision ... I respect that decision.

And it ain't just McCain, either. You already started seeing cracks in the support from liberals because she wasn't pure enough.

Sometimes it's a good idea to outsmart your opponent.

The President never formally submitted her name for nomination. What if the President was never going to nominate her, but once the GOP decided to go apoplectic over her possible nomination, he just let them run with it? Sometimes the game is a bit longer than this afternoon's segment on Hardball.

it like it is, president Obama didn't fail at anything. If Susan Rice wanted the job that bad, she shouldn't have backed down to Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Kelly Ayotte or Susan Collins. She tripped me out when she said that she respected John McCain after those vicious attacks on her. I wouldn't have went over to any of their offices trying to cheese up either to them. If some one told vicious lies on me like that, you would have saw me fight back.

And the only reason they attacked her was to get at the President like some are doing now. I don't think President Obama will just lay down as Boehner is finding out! I don't even know if she was going to be the president's choice anyway. And as far as the Press, they are snakes. So are they trying to deflect the criticism off McCain, Graham and his gang now? I'm listening to their Bull shit now! I heard Dan Rather's crap. So when is Bob Woodard going to get his two cents worth? And Rice was getting hit from a lot of directions, even on this Board which suprised me. I even read an article from some ex CIA person slaming Rice in an article. There were even some pundits slamming her in favor of John Kerry. All the time Kerry was silent and did not criticise his republican peers in the Senate once. They even had the gaul to advertise his name for SOS. I think if it was me and I got a job under such circumstances, I wouldn't even want it either or I would have said something to those Republicans. That is what makes me wonder about him. Will he be loyal to his friends in the Senate or Obama? If it was me, I would give it to some one I trust. I trust Colin Powell. And I would try my best to persuade him to become a Democrat. I think the Bush Administration undercut ted him. And I would like to see those four musketeers facing a real war hero and general at that. It would be interesting seeing McCain facing General Powell to his face!

It's not possible that she looked and said "Hmmm, I could be named NSA or just stay at the UN. I don't really need this shit, and neither does the administration right now"?

Oh, right. I forgot. In your world Obama is a failure if he doesn't challenge every Republican he meets to an arm-wrestling contest.

It is not much of a loss to me anyway. She was a bit more of a hawk then I would have liked. Just look up her views on Israel. I did not think she was the best choice. Sometimes a loyal, close friend is not the best person for the job. I would have supported her if she wanted the nomination but honestly, I preferred Kerry.

Oh, and they can read the president's mind and know exactly what the president thinks.

And without any evidence at all, they call the president a coward and weak. Why? Because they know exactly what went on behind closed doors.

It's simply amazing to me.
