Russ Feingold for Secretary of State.

Former 2 term US Senator-member of the Foriegn Relations committee. Progressive but he is popular with his BFF, John McCain.

I would be a delightful "fuck you" to the Senate Republicans to know that they can't have Kerry's seat. And the can't keep objecting to every potential nominee until they get the one they want.

inclined to filibuster. John McCain is less likely to support a filibuster against Feingold than Gore.

This isn't a buddy movie. I think Feingold would be a good choice. But I've gotta agree with the person who said WI needs him to oppose Snot Walker though.

I doubt he's going to want a job in DC.

isn't just some backwater post. I think Feingold knew that ousting Walker wasn't going to be a cakewalk and didn't want to become a political casualty to the Tea Party. I think the prestige of being the SOS would be too much for a person to just shrug his shoulders and say I think I'll stay in Marquette. Really? Seriously?

Tell the Rethugs, that if you wanted to get a Republican senator in to congress, you already got yours when you replaced Feingold earlier. You don't get ANY more now!

And could set him up well to be a part of a ticket in 2016 too. Had earlier hoped he could be that person as a replacement for Scott Walker in the recall. But SoS will also do too!

Perhaps he just needs to get a decent wife soon kind of like Kucinich did earlier if he could be persuaded to be preparing for 2016...

And Russ might be able to leverage that position into a Presidential run. That'd blow the Third Way heads.
