The reason this is serious and something that will not go away is because it is not complicate or difficult to understand. Russia hacking into data systems and computers in order to influence an election is easy to explain to the most dense of Americans. It isn't some compicated story involving lots of math and layers upon layers of individuals. It is a short story that doesn't require a long attention span.
