Hamilton Electors has a very specific plea...

Hamilton Electors has a very specific plea to ALL of you that are Republicans, are connected to Republicans, or are in red states. PLEASE share this with as many people as you possibly can - there are potentially between 20 and 30 Republican Electors who are planning NOT to vote for Trump on Dec. 19th - THEY NEED OUR SUPPORT. Call for the #GrandCompromise2016

It is pissing in the wind anyway. The GOP electors are not going to abandon Trump.

Join #HamiltonElectors in a new #GrandCompromise2016. Harvard Professor Lawrence Lessig writes:
"If there are 37 electors who cannot in good conscience support Donald Trump, they should at least give the House of Representatives the opportunity to choose a candidate who might unite a nation fractured by a bitter and divisive campaign. That candidate would need to be a Republican. Ideally, the college would also give the Senate the chance to select a Democrat for vice president. This split ticket might unite America over the next four years, and possibly avoid a spiral into civil war."

There is nothing that says it has to be a Republican.

There are only two legitimate candidates, and one should be disqualified for national security reasons. A third person is NOT legitimate.

Fuck that shit. Let Trump get in and then be removed. It would be the same thing anyway.

The "Hamilton Electors" are nothing but anti-Clinton chickenshits.

The American people clearly did not want Republican rule.

But thanks to their Russian cabal-comrades, the Republicans think they have a right to claim the gold.

and he lost the Presidency in the House we might have a Civil War. I would be willing to bet that if for some reason Hillary was chosen to be our President there would be a violent uprising in our nation. Of course the chances of that happening are slim to none even in an unusual election year like this. The Republican controlled House would never put her in the Oval Office.

I agree that the person chosen to be the President would almost have to be a Republican to prevent the shit from hitting the fan. Of course a lot would depend on the person seclected. For example in my opinion Mitt Romney would be a terrible pick while perhaps Gov. Kasich would work out if he could be convinced to step up to the plate. I also like the idea of picking a Democrat to be the VP.

I hate to say it but I suspect Trump will get the 270 votes needed and will take over the Oval Office. Of course if I am wrong I can only say this has been one very unusual election and Trump's losing is a fitting end.

I don't understand why electors MUST vote to elect a replacement President who is a Republican.

The Republicans somehow managed to elect an unfit candidate of questionable sanity. The Democratic candidate won the popular vote, and is actually fit to serve.

Give me Hillary!

They don't have to. They might get fined if they don't, but big whoop.

I believe this outfit was started by a pair of anti-Clinton Democratic electors who refuse to vote for her.

They can go fuck themselves with a cattle prod.

The Republican electors are stupid partisans who will throw the entire country under the bus rather than put a Democrat in or care that Trump is a Russian-backed puppet.

to change their vote and pick Hillary. If Trump doesn't get the necessary 270 votes and the election goes to the House I have no doubt that either Trump or another Republican will win. To vote for Hillary would most likely prove to be political suicide for any Republican who chose to do it.

that all this happens, and the decision falls to the House of Representatives, and they choose a President OTHER THAN Trump, then there will still be civil war. Trumpsters are diehards and will not respond well to their god not being chosen. The best case scenario here would be that the Dems stay out of it for awhile, and let the Republican factions eat and kill each other. A horrible best case, but there you have it.
