Let's limit the fox news mouthpiece

Recently President Obama said that it's a problem that everywhere you go there's fixed news blaring, sometimes with several screens so no matter where you are, there it is!

Today while waiting on my car to be serviced, there it was, fixed news, couldn't get away from it, 3 different screens! Didn't see a channel changer, so when I saw a suit walk past, I nicely but firmly said that not everyone wants to watch fox news. He was actually very nice, and agreed. Got the channel changer and voila. Now, I don't know if it stayed that way but... just sayin'

The next time I go in a restaurant, bar or any public establishment where fixed news is on if they won't change it, I'm leaving and I'm going to let them know why. If I make a reservation, I'm going to ask in they play fixed news, if they do I'm going to say well then just cancel my reservation. I'm going to ask all my friends family and all you DUer's to PLEASE do the same.

Hey,it is my dollars and if you are broadcasting Propaganda and false statements,I will inform you of it. Left many a retailer and service areas if the TV is blasting the Fox hate message.

Stopped staying there now I stay at best western. Either has local news or CNN in the breakfast room. A guy tried to turn on fox and the manager said no. My hubby and I laughed at him to his face.

I don't stay at hotels/motels very much anyway, but I'll never reserve rooms with them again after reading your post.

I didn't know that, and stayed at a LaQuinta in Springdale AR last week. They had the local CBS morning show on the tv in the breakfast room.

I never EVER leave the Fox "news" Sewer on a public tv. I change it myself. If the universal remote app on my phone won't change it for whatever reason, I will then ask to have it changed and make it clear that I'm leaving if it stays on.

I avoid flying. I'd rather drive to either coast than put up with the misery that flying has become. But the last couple times I did fly, the TV's were on CNN and the Weather Channel. So I don't know.

Some bars and places have disabled the TV channel changer because it is controlled by the cable or satellite box. If I can see the box, I change it, if not the "off" button always works so far.

Just did a cross country trip using LaQuinta exclusively. They are dog friendly. Every breakfast room had the weather channel playing. Check before boycotting a business. That's people's livelihood.

at businesses (tire stores, doctor's offices, etc) where they had a cable box and the remote laying there. When no one was looking I put a parental control password on the Fox News channel.

... in the break rooms.

Many of them showed signs of an addiction! If others insisted on keeping the channel on whatever else was showing (which didn't happen all that often), the pro-FOX guys would get antsy and eat their lunches in their vehicles so they could listen to AM radio instead. Their body language was so similar to people who needed a "fix" for an addiction!

But this little right winger figured out what he did and put fox back in and then changed the password to lock him out.

The tv in his room was on faux news.
His son came in and screamed for the nurse. "Are you purposely trying to kill my father?"

They changed the channel.

Sadly, he passed days later.

I sometimes wonder if that didn't have something to do with it.
