2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThe NRA and their ilk would like us to believe that they have a constitutional right
to purchase and own people-killers, free of any restrictions and regulations, but yet WE all have a constitutional right to vote, but it didn't stop 29 red state governors from imposing onerous restrictions on US voters in the name of non-existent voter fraud to try and prevent democrats, primarily minorities, the elderly, college students, and poor people who don't own a car, from exercising their constitutional right to vote in order to frustrate them into giving up and abandoning their rights.
I say the hell with them them. I hope that every democratic governor and mayor in these United States will make it their priority to pass the toughest, people-killer regulations they can come up with following in the footsteps of Gov Cuomo and Mayor Bloomberg.

(16,993 posts)They also did a sweep before their press conference.
In keeping with their own words, why wouldn't they want EVERYONE in their building to have a gun, and everyone at their press conference to have a gun?
Seems the NRA is infringing on the Second Amendment rights of "good guy" American citizens to bear arms in their building! Can you say hypocrite? They don't practice what they preach.

(17,598 posts)yet almost 50000 were not allowed to vote. Ways were found. That's where the outrage really is.
guns are about money. the nra and gun manufacturers used the 2nd amendment and placed emphasis on certain words, removed others, and changed the meaning of others to whip people into a frenzy in order to sell more product and get more profits. That's it. They are not doing it for sacred reasons, or for patriotism, they don't give a shit when innocent people are killed so why would they care about any gun owners themselves (similar to the cigerette companies who didn't care that people died from using their product - the more loyal the faster to die)? they don't.
