Palin And Trump Score More CPAC Speaking Time Than Paul, Rubio And Ryan

Palin And Trump Score More CPAC Speaking Time Than Paul, Rubio And Ryan

What will Sarah Palin and Donald Trump do with their precious extra minutes on the CPAC stage this week? How will Senators Rand Paul and Marco Rubio fit everything they want to say into their limited time slots? These are the burning questions at hand as the annual Conservative Political Action Conference approaches.

The National Review got a hold of the minute-by-minute CPAC schedule and revealed that Palin, at 16 minutes, and Trump, at 14 minutes have been given longer appearances than many of the elected Republicans scheduled to speak. After those two, Rand Paul along with Governors Rick Perry, Bobby Jindal, and Scott Walker are each scheduled for 13 minutes and Rubio and Rep. Paul Ryan each have only 11 minutes. After that, former Presidential front-runner Rick Santorum only have seven minutes.

As Katrina Trinko points out in the National Review article, “these differences aren’t large, and, of course, speakers may well go over or under their allotted time.” But, in these relatively short speeches on a prominent platform, every minute counts.

Of course, this year’s keynote speaker, Sen. Ted Cruz, will speak for a full 33 minutes. And Rubio, Ryan and the rest shouldn’t feel too discouraged. They have been given a lot more time to speak than their more moderate colleagues Governors Chris Christie and Bob McDonnell, who are each scheduled to speak for a total of zero minutes.

The more the crazies speak, the better for the Democrats. Is there a way to watch this? CSPAN?

Apparently CPAC has no sense of irony whatsoever. Trump is not a conservative. He is a trumpative.

...even if you need headliner acts so the audience doesn't have to admit they're just there for the goofballs.
