Bullshit!!!

Conflating my Social Security with some tax breaks for millionaires????
Fuck That!!!!!

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says his soon-to-be released budget, already criticized by friends and foes, is not his "ideal plan" but offers "tough reforms" for benefit programs and scuttles some tax breaks for the wealthy.

That's a mix, he contends, that will provide long-term deficit reduction without harming the economy.

like he's willing to compromise, they look like they're NOT, and there's no deal. Obama wins. This deal doesn't go into effect, so WE win, too.

Obama wants and he'll keep pushing it. Meanwhile, knowing it's on the table now, the people who need SS will continue to be upset and worried about their financial future.

The tax increases proposed are not new taxes, they are wee adjustments which they themselves proposed not so long ago. The top tier remains virtually unscathed. There are no new taxes proposed. Changes to current taxes, no new taxes. You will see. There is a good chance they will bite at this. Had he not offered it, there would be no chance of that at all.
Morally absent, ethically vacant. Shameful.

He made them an even better offer last year or so and they didn't take it. He knows what he's doing.

THEY CANNOT EXCEPT THIS and survive with their base. Obama knows this.

Looked at facebook lately? It's plastered with people going apeshit over even the PROSPECT of the GOP compromising with Obama.

IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN.

9. Then why does Obama keep offering it? Because OBAMA WANTS CHAINED CPI.

PERIOD. It's not what the Repugs want or don't want or are willing to accept or not accept.

It's that Obama wants and is pushing for Chained CPI.

WHY? If Obama knows this proposal is DOA with Repugs and unpopular with very good reason with almost everyone else -- WHY IS HE STILL PUSHING IT?! Would he push it if he himself didn't actively want to?

10. Why do you assume that the repubs have to pass it?

They passed the tax cuts with mostly democratic votes. If the Senate passes it, and the house Dems have enough votes to pass it with the help of non-votes or a few repub votes, then Boehner has shown he may allow a vote. I don't think there are enough Dems in the house who would vote for this, but don't for a minute think that the repubs won't let the democrats hang themselves.
