1. You're right, it's bullshit, and downright Naderesque. Rocky wouldn't even win his home state.

When I hear crap answers like that, it's shades of 2000 all over again. I'm sick of the zealots, intent on destroying the Democratic Party from within, in hopes that some utopian superbad progressive-on-steroids party will emerge from the ashes.

The Supreme Court comes down with another horrible decision, Nader announces another run and scientists announce the development of a pill that extends a persons's life expectancy another 50 years. Fifty more years of Roberts, Scalia, Thomas, Alito and Kennedy on the SCOTUS and 50 more years of Nader campaigning for third party candidates. I just found out the other day that a progressive third party candidate in Illinois had more votes than the margin of victory of the Republican Senate candidate.

4. What's infuriating is the fact that they know they can't win without Democrats. It's almost like...

revenge. Look at Nader and Greenwald, they hate the Democratic party, especially the leadership with a passion, and you very rarely hear either of them go after the Repukes like they do Democrats. I've always maintained that Nader is full of shit, and much like Jane Hamsher, will take money from anyone. I keep waiting for their passionate supporters/apologists to wake up & realize that it's not about red & blue for these hucksters, it's all about the green ($$$$$).

Those supporting Anderson or other candidates outside of the mainstream are not taking votes from Obama. They would never vote for Obama again, if they ever did. It's not Anderson's fault that Obama is losing progressive support. It Obama's fault.

You can support the Obama/Romney policies that are substantially the same by voting either D or R. If you want to vote against endless war, against the Bush tax cuts, against the two-tiered justice system and for restoring civil liberties and protecting the environment it's seems you should be able to without being accused of using terrorist tactics. Baseless accusations of using terrorist tactics in so Bush/Cheney and now Obama. Really?

I think really you're upset that you can't support Anderson because Romney terrifies you and you resent being bullied by Romney and abandoned by Obama.

Go see for yourself. Anderson has a website. Not much there either R or D support right now. But there has to be people in the US that want a single payer health care system. Who want the repeal of the PATRIOT act, and NDAA. Anderson and others are not afraid to call our system what it is.

12. Hold on there andy. You seem to be laboring under some strong misapprehensions there.

First off, Welcome.

Secondly, this liberal/libertarian hybrid that has emerged since the Bush years isn't that large, but boy are they noisy. You said:

"It's not Anderson's fault that Obama is losing progressive support. It Obama's fault."

And then there's this to directly contradict your epic fail of a made up narrative:

"President Obama's Gallup approval rating amongst liberal Democrats from April 9th-15th is 89%."
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002571599

And then there's the president's uncanny ability to attract more than half a million new individual donors in a month. And horror of horrors, I'll bet more than a few of them think they're "Progressive". You wanna tell us more about "Losing Progressive Support"?

"Obama, Democrats raise more than $53 million in March"

Rocky's vanity run, and your use of old worn out talking points notwithstanding, I don't think we'll see any massive exodus away from Obama/Biden. It can, however, make close vote counts much easier to steal.

Nice meeting you, and have a great day.

the races here in WI, I'm beginning to think they've done this all along, only more under the radar...So I have to question Rocky about his sincerity.

14. Anyone who doesn't want to FIX - REMOVE - the spoiler effect from American politics works for the 1%

...whether they think they are doing so or not.

The spoiler effect is DESIGNED to cause EXACTLY the sort of splintering effect it's causing RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW. It is SUCCEEDING at keeping us from moving our politics in the direction that the vast majority of the country wants to move.
