Why do the Sen Dem's let Lindsay Graham have a megaphone? Has anyone cornered him in a dark senate hall way and button holed him to the wall with Bush's lies and incompetence????

Probably my biggest criticism of the Obama years is his perceived lack of agressiveness (?) in pushing his agenda and going after the right.

My husband asked why the administration doesn't incarcerate those at the NRA convention who spoke of armed rebellion against our country - including those who interpret the 2nd amendment to support this. My response was how provocative of these crazies any type of action like that would be. It's such balance, politically, and in terms of public support.

I think perhaps (and as he himself has said) Obama is waiting AGAIN for another election, 2014, to solidify his electoral based in Congress and move his agenda forward.

Seems like the bubble of his significant 2012 win has all but popped. Although, I do believe there is a silent majority out there that sees these wingnuts for what they are and supports the moderation of the Dems and Obama. Unfortunately, the right is relentless, and refuses to respond to the wishes of their constituents - 80-90% in favor of background checks!

However, these facts are quite useful when pounding on the idiots who repeat the mindless bullshit.

AFTER 3K people were killed 9/11, of course! Oh and I don't think that he kept the 4K+ American soldiers he sent to Iraq safe either. So, the death toll- give or take- under Bush is approx. 7K +60 due to terrorism and McCain, Graham refused to hold Bush, Cheney, RICE, et. al accountable for any of them and other Republicans are going batshit crazy over 4 dead consulate personnel in post-conflict Libya under Obama?

*Of course, it's the "under Obama", as well as the "under Hillary as SOS" parts that are key to all this.

Other than the attack in Benghazi and the young female diplomat who was killed in Afghanistan, I haven't heard of any other people dying at diplomat posts during Obama's term. Am I wrong?

Going by the manufactured scandal that the Republicans are pushing, one would think that dozens of people died under Obama and Hillary's management.

host country does. The Vienna Convention rules of diplomatic missions state the host country is responsible for securing a foreign country's embassies. The only time America has it's own security, and this was in the Clinton hearings, is when we keep classified info stored inside. Benghazi was not a mission that stored classified info so did not have a security force. Even those forces can't operate outside the bounds of the mission property.
So yes, many died defending our missions when Bush was in office. The same day as Benghazi someone died defending our mission in another country. None of that matters to the gop. They are interested in political gain.

Also, if you look at a transcript of the new ambassador to libya's confirmation hearings, they ask her about security and she makes it very clear that the ambassador is responsible for keeping it secure. That if there isn't adequate security you send requests and if that doesn't work you get on the phone and don't stop until you get what you need.
