the best part is, IMHO, every single day the smear continues in the media(regular and alt)against both the president, Hillary45 and his healthcare plan

it gives Hillary45 another 1 million voters across the USA.

I pencil her in for 115 million popular votes in 2016 and 500plus electoral votes.
(the record for popular is 69million btw).

We are looking at a veritable 2016 supersized victory for the democratic party and President Obama's agenda.

President Obama is doing something no modern day(if ever) president has ever done

He is making his goals to be forever, not just 8 years

and though the extremists in the media and country attempt to drown it out, President Obama ran on uniting the country (not necessarily in party) in getting legislation passed like it used to.
80-20.

(and just the other day, thanks to Harry Reid's magnificent play, President Obama's choice for judge passed the committe 18-0. And fast tracks that person to be ratified come the next opening for US Supreme Court...Kudo's to Harry Reid, who is the best at knowing the little rules that make the game played!)

Americans have been fed for too long on a poor education system, government propaganda, and commercial advertising to ever be able to formulate an informed opinion about anything.

Plus we picked up 6 to 7 house seats in the midterm elections where it was expected the democrats would loose seats because of history with the party in power in the WH

there is a HUGE disconnnect between what they portray him as and what he is. Most people don't actually pay attention, but the disconnect is so big, they just know there is something that isn't right.

So, the middle tends to break every so slightly to Barrack Obama.

At the same time, it still works to the Rs favor.

Their whole thing is based on our general cynicism of government.

When they turn EVERYTHING into crap, people just get frustrated and see that it is crap, then the Rs run on their high minded flag waving bullshit while saying government sucks, and get their 51% of the vote.

They get this.

They know that what they do is a war of attrition that gives them the better odds in most elections.

for how he won't lambast republicans.

his temperament is the only thing that keeps him above 50 percent in public opinion.

There is a HUGE disconnect between who he is, how he conducts himself, his integrity and his tone, and how the Republican's constantly portray him.

What a lot of people don't get is that the 35 to 40 percent, or maybe a little more, are going to hate him regardless. Same percentage will like him to some extent.

The only people in play are the middle 20 percent or so.

They don't pay attention, and are VERY predisposed to the "They are all the same" meme.

When they see all this hullabaloo about BO, then see him being calm and honest about things, they tend to side, very slightly toward him, because it just does not match all of the noise.

IF he was antagonistic toward Rs, he would be in the low 40s, maybe in the 30s, because he would lose the middle.

In this day and age, with democrats being flat out weak kneed, spineless pukebags in general, Rs being raging lunatics and the media just dying to side with the raging lunatics, it is the best that can be maintained.

Until Ds decided they want to be a for real party, to really fight the tides that control the country through the republican party, there is little he can do but to be cool and do the best he can.

Quite a few of my Republican friends are sick of the idiocy and agree these 'scandals' are just political theater. One long time Republican told me he's switching to Independent.

I think the whole gun thing started the ball rolling. Living in AZ, I can't think of one Republican friend that doesn't own a gun (most own several). They were just as shocked as most of us about the lack of support for universal background checks. Most even agree that some type of training and/or insurance needs to be required.

Let the teapers scream that the sky is falling. They're doing us more good than harm.
