But Wall Street is doing nicely, I see...

Getting through on the EDD (unemployment office in California) customer service line was already a joke...I spent an entire afternoon trying to get through because they cancelled my benefits. I finally figured out I'd email them, but got no reply; I emailed again, and they gave me a direct number to call. This was all 3 months ago and it was because I was trying to understand why my benefits were halted for a month and a half (a long story I won't bore you with).

These reduced hours are going to wreak havoc on an already burdened system, and it will all fall on people trying to grapple with hard times—and on top of this, they've cut benefits by 17+%.

But, you know?: I sleep so much better now, knowing Wall Street is drawing epic numbers.

Something's seriously wrong with the United States of America.

The definition of "the people" has changed -- and we ain't one of them.
