Breaking News for FOX- new scandal

(title = haha)

so Pres. Obama forgot to salute the Marine who stands guard in front of the Marine One.....but then he realized his mistake and went back down and spent a few minutes talking to the marine and apologizing

the link has a nice photo of our Pres. talking to that respective Marine who seems to be so happy that he is getting to share a private moment with the leader of our country

link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/24/obama-salute_n_3331762.html

FOX news will probably cover this 24/7 and repukes must be freaking out and pointing at this as evidence for his "anti-american agenda" hahaha

As long as it took to shake his hand instead of saluting. He must of had something on his mind - you think.

back lots.

Never put it on the line like Jimmy Stewart, for example.

But the colossal idiot initiated the salute to the Marines and other uniformed personnel on Presidential duties.

I don't blame President Obama for continuing it. I just wish it would end. I wish a President, any President, would tell the American people what I already know: the salute is a privilege reserved for uniformed military personnel. A privilege, not an obligation. If you doubt that, consider that service members convicted under UCMJ and serving time in stockade are prohibited from saluting officers. They lost the privilege when they were convicted.

The President in Commander-In-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces. But he is a civilian, as he (and someday she) should be. But C-In-C or not, he should not salute uniformed personnel.

I'd rather have a handshake and talk to the CIC than the usual salute. So there, fooking fox screws their viewers.

huffpost headline.. "Obama Forgets To Salute Marine, Awkwardly Makes It Up To Him"

I see nothing "awkward" there.. just the usual grace. Course, many of the comments under the article are the usual brainwashed shit.

thanks Cane

I don't know what protocol is for those on duty at the White House, but my guess is they are probably told not to speak to the President unless he initiates a conversation. If that is the case, he got a very lucky break with Obama coming back to personally talk to him.

And THIS is the lead story for FOX News??? That the President forgot to salute, a phoney Reagan unofficial protocol that, for whatever reason, all presidents have to follow? Then said President had a friendly chat with moments later, THAT is a scandal?
Fuck it- Holder, ignore Rosen and throw AILES in jail for FRAUD! For masquerading FOX as a news organization.

yeah, it is nice when the brigade commander acknowledges this specialist by returning the salute. But you are saluting him because he is in charge. And maybe this individual has alot on his mind. I would submit that any president _always_ has a lot on his mind.

Obama has a Marine hold his umbrella or misses a salute here and there; scandal of world-shaking proportions.

These people lack perspective.

And, yes, I mean it: every US service member killed in Iraq was DIRECTLY killed by George Bush and Dick Cheney and Rumsfeld and that whole crew. They are directly responsible for each and every death.
