Rep. Peter King (R-NY) will follow through on his vow to not help Republicans who voted against a Hurricane Sandy relief bill, telling BuzzFeed in a story published Tuesday that he's skipping a GOP fundraiser that will be headlined by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).
As he has for the last several months, King rejected the idea of "acknowledging people who are voting against us in our hour of need." Cruz voted against a Sandy aid measure that passed the Senate in January and will headline a Wednesday fundraiser that will raise money for New York Republicans.
"Once I found it was him, King told BuzzFeed. I decided not to go. I dont know if I would have gone or not because of scheduling things, but that made it easy once I found out it was Ted Cruz.

(30,247 posts)I don't agree with him on most things, but good for him to denounce the Baggers who voted against relief money for Sandy.

(28,246 posts)I think Peter King is an abrasive jerk---but Ted Cruz makes King look like Winston Churchill, by comparison. Anything that speeds up Cruz's toxic downhill slide is fine by me.....

Hopefully, Texas will never be in a crisis like NJ, OK, NY, Joplin, or anyother Extreme Storm Ravaged State of our Union. Mr smug asshole would be on the begging end.
Actually Texas does need Fed Funds for West, Texas.. sorry, I do not know how that's working out.
