Back in 1979, Jimmy Carter did the proper, humane thing and

let our old friend the ousted Shah of Iran into the US for cancer treatment. This led to the Iran Hostage Crisis and eventually to the election of Ronald Reagan.

It may seem that getting involved in Syria is the only honorable and humane thing to do, but these things rarely turn out to our benefit!

Uh, none of them to get power. We have a choice between shit and shittier over there, and I don't know which is which yet.

Turkey said they found chemical weapons with the REBELs. I think it is far too soon to decide what is going on to get involved in it.

I'd hate him to see such a loss this late in the game.

in order to preserve the good word of the US. Sort of like we have to do something now, because the red line has been crossed.

our other "friends" would continue to trust us, and the Iran Hostage Crisis as well as the Ira -Contra Affair as well as back door interference with the 1980 election was the result.

The argument that the US needs to bomb Syria in order to prove we'll stand by our word is specious.
