This week was consumed with talk of going to war again. While every moral and ethical person must feel the pain and suffering of maimed and killed Syrians in their civil war, entry into this war by America will make things no better. This war is likely between several groups of authoritarians that do not have the interest of everyday Syrians at hand.

Unfortunately the drumbeat to war does nothing more than drown out the civil war here at home. While we are not killing our citizens with napalm, chemical weapons, bombs, or guns, we are killing them nonetheless with policies that kill over time whether it is from a corrupt healthcare system or a dysfunctional economic system.

This week fast food workers continued their protest demanding a living wage. Unfortunately unless all Americans engage to demand that ‘we the people’, the government makes it law, it will go nowhere. With unemployment high, there is always someone else ready to take the crumbs. That is the reason why the Right Wing does not want to extend unemployment. They want that pool of the unemployed that is willing to accept any wage including slave wages.

We will talk about all these issues on the program today.

2. Hopefully it's not just either/or...because the pessimist in me

fears the funding (we will not be technically at war) of the Syrian War may be already a fait accompli. I hope the Minimum Wage is not tied to that fate.
