2. Ancient chinese practice: pay doctor only while you are healthy. Incentive to get you healthy again.

I don't know if it is historically accurate to assert that in ancient China people would pay their doctors only when they were healthy, but I have heard it (read it) before.

It would be actual Health Care not disease care.

Chiropractors call it maintenance care.

Medicare calls it Not Medically Necessary and doesn't pay for it.

11. Traditional Chinese medicine is certainly chock full o' woo. So is chiropractic, of course.

The long-dead Chinese had an excuse. They had no way to know better. That excuse is worn pretty thin, here and now, for Americans with access to actual physiological knowledge made available to them via things like books, and the internet.

We proponents of "mainstream, allopathic, whatever-you-want-to-call-it, medicine" happen to believe (with evidence!... we're pretty sure...) that our own body, when healthy, practices the necessary "maintenance care," so long as we get adequate sleep, exercise, and a balanced diet. And even does pretty well when we don't. We believe in the "magic" of physiology.

We also note that the woos like to point out all the unnecessary meds that so many people are on. And they're right about that. Part right. People who are on unnecessary meds are trying to do what the woos do. Provide unnecessary maintenance.

And, like shady auto mechanics, unnecessary maintenance is what chiropractors mainly do.

3. Absolutely! It is only the direction of the redistribution that bothers them.

They argue against class warfare while practicing it themselves. Utter hypocrisy.

8. So basicly Fox News is saying that 'Obamacare' is a war on the GOP's War on the Middle Class.

I have to agree with them, Obamacare is not inline with the GOP's vision of destroying the Middle Class

The GOP is not against suckling the Big Government Teat,, They are just against anybody but them suckling it !

Supply Side Economic policies have been redistributing wealth to the Super Rich for over 30 years now. These policies are still in place and seems we are going to have to have control of Congress and the SCOTUS to ever change them!

Obama: “The trick is figuring out how do we structure government systems that pool resources and hence facilitate some [wealth] redistribution -- because I actually believe in redistribution, at least at a certain level to make sure that everybody’s got a shot.”

Romney: Wealth redistribution, he added, has "never been a characteristic of America."

Two people. Two Americas.

Not to validate the talking point (more to try to dismantle it), but isn't any economic transaction sort of a redistribution of wealth? Or does the term only apply in certain cases, such as when the transaction isn't balanced?
