(26,060 posts)I expect Democrats to win but by closer to 5-7%. I also expect to win the LT governor race....it's the AG race that looks verrrrry close.

(3,166 posts)Early in the evening, Romney was leading VA by good margin...But as night went on, Obama got closer and closer and eventually passed him....Romney was doomed when VA was NOT called for him early...

(39 posts)Being reported in the Charlotte area that a major Obama supported propped up the libertarian candidate in Virginia. If so, very smart.

(26,060 posts)and can't help thinking these are the guys that really know what's going on. They don't call things until they're 99.9% sure but they know and those exit polls look good for McCauliff. The women are going to carry this one across the finish line. Exit poll showed of those who voted who believed abortion should be legal in most or all cases was 61%. That's very high for a state like VA. You know they didn't vote for the Cooch. I'm cautiously optimistic.

(2,157 posts)ive been flipping through the channels and have found no real coverage of the election in Virgina or New Jersey? Also are there any other races I should be watching for?

(4,551 posts)You are right that in the early returns, Cuccinelli is ahead.
McAuliffe will likely pull ahead once Northern Virginia comes in, which hasn't come in yet.
It was the same pattern in the Presidential Race a year ago.

We didn't win tonight, we survived. Too many Democrats in Virginia didn't bother to vote. Until we correct that problem, we will continue to lose elections.
