Obama's news conference today

To me, the media is really transparent in its "trashing" of the President's statements. I think it's just fine, he's just fine, and ACA will work out.

This hyper-ventilated see-saw reacting - high drama - does not wear well.

I not only have NO PROBLEM with a President apologizing, but I ADMIRE it.

Even withOUT anyone giving him a chance or any credit, he is prevailing in the big picture.

Things have to be tweaked and corrected. This (HCR) is a big change. I'm stressing too, but I trust Obama - his honesty and empathy.

Any action the President takes will anger somebody.

And that's who the media runs to in any situation ... who ever is angriest, suggesting that the view of the disgruntled group is actually THE view of the American people, in the large.

Controversy attracts eyeballs.

how the press and public treated presidents then, compared to now - or at least Kennedy, compared to Obama.

We all know the secrets the press held for Kennedy. Beyond that, the almost universal pandering, gushing.

The Obamas are every bit as classy, dignified, and elegant.

President Obama has done so much for this country, as history will tell, and so much was left on the table due to the psychosis of the right. He gets nowhere near the credit nor appreciation nor support he deserves. Truly, the old confederacy and racism arose with his presidency. It won't end with the end of it either. He is just the tip of the iceberg. There ARE 2 Americas now: old, white, male, and dwindling. And the rest of us. And WE WON'T STAND FOR THIS - for their getting in the way of progress, any longer!
