Does anyone else notice Sarah (gag) Palin's oddly severe

facial expresssion almost always spayed across her face?

There's something harsh and hateful about it. I can't put my finger on it, but it surely communicates something different than when she was an ingenue in 2008. It reflects cynicism, a harsh edge, and is frightening to me.

and suffering of animals like she does strikes me as a mean person and one who is probably psychotic. It's starting to show on her face. Her basketball team mates called her Sarah Barracuda for a reason. I used to play basketball once too.

She has a cold and steely look, with a face like a plastic manikin.
She may look good from far, but she's far from good-looking.

I see a leathery face, like a hardened plaster death-mask. Her
eyes are flat and lifeless. Her mouth is taught and angry. She
reminds me of some Greek mythology character, like a Medusa,
or the "Succubus" from a South Park episode. That cutesy, winky,
"Oh, she's so hot and sexy" reputation was the creation of GOP
image-makers trying to make honey from venom.

Black Widow, Praying Mantis, Medusa, Succubus, Lilith, Ice Bitch,
Cyborg, take your pick of description. She has never struck me as
a soft, sexy or cuddly woman.

In the movie The Devil’s Advocate?

In that scene, Keanu Reeves and his wife are at a party where everyone is absolutely stunningly beautiful … but, the wife keeps seeing flashes of them as horrific demons.

Maybe that explains it?

If I were smart, I'd never put the words "Sarah" or "Palin" in the same sentence again. I truly believe her continuing presence in our national awareness is as contrived and ultimately meaningless as John McCain's desperate attempt to invigorate his fizzled-out campaign was when he dropped her in our laps some 15 months ago. The only thing keeping her around is that we are still talking about her. Were we to stop, she would thin out like a dollar store perfume stink and drift away.

Besides, most of us know she'll never be president, don't we? Most of us know she is to human depth what Toby Keith is to music. What cowboy poetry is to poetry. What Chef Boyardee is to fine dining. Most of us know that most of us would have more business being president than she does. Right?

I have struggled to understand why she's still in the nation's eye when there's so little to see. It can't be anything she's said, I tell myself, because everything she says is baloney. It can't be anything she's done, because other than flouncing from one stage to another, she hasn't done anything. It can't be because her ideas are so innovative or overpowering or appealing, because she has no ideas.

I admit, however, she's hard to ignore. For certain Americans, she is the soup du jour. This season's Tickle-Me-Elmo. The lite at the end of the tunnel. She is God speaking to them in an uneasy time, and they don't get that all He's trying to do is tell them a joke.

But beyond that, her entire life now revolves around hate. Back in Wasilla, she could spend her days being the Harper Valley PTA mean girl, cluck clucking down those she hates, but doing it 9 to 5. Now she's a 24/7 machine....a shark endlessly swimming in search of blood money. From wackos in Iowa and Alabama who speak in tongues to the dudes down in the basement photo shopping her head onto cougar porn. She is lost in an endless cycle of grift. Fuck her, her family, John McCain and her minions. The idiot culture won when she was thrust on the stage to national prominence.

And it has nothing to do with her politics, as there are plenty of conservative women that I do find very beautiful.

I think Palin is hard in the face. She has very hard features, not soft, feminine features.

The gorgeous, black woman who beat her in the beauty contest beat her for a reason: she was truly beautiful! Sarah, in my opinion, is not.
