1. Oreegon had the highest midterm turnout ever in 2010, and we elected Democrats as did the other

West Coast States, where turnout was dandy and Democrats victorious, CA saw Jerry Brown defeat the huge trucks of lucre spent by Meg Whitman with one tenth the ad budget and not much stress.
I hear things went badly in States that try to play 'Moderate Blue Dogs' against Republicans who are nearly identical, these States lost although most of them still insist their losing candidates are 'the only ones who could win'. I am not sure they are correct about failed candidates being sure bets next time, but they fear running anyone who is not conservative.

But … are you suggesting that Oregon and California has similar demographics as the upper mid-west and plain states, or any other Red State, such as to support “Non-Moderate, Non- Blue Dog” candidates?

True progressives can't win in the Deep South and Plains, outside of cities, college towns, or ethnic districts. We can't be foolish and ignore reality. We need to run candidates tailored for the district/state.

Talk about it differently. The Dem Party is better for at least 99% of the people of every region - just have to show them how in language they appreciate.

Repubs are great at messaging and hire first-rate people in that area - Dems need to do the same.

republican pogrom to exclude some Americans from their right to one vote makes people want to vote even more!
