39) Jimmy Carter (born 1924)
40) Ronald Reagan (19112004)
41) George H. W. Bush (born 1924)
42) Bill Clinton (born 1946)
43) George W. Bush (born 1946)
44) Barack Obama (born 1961)
-------------------------------
Bad news is that there are three current U.S. Senators that were born in 1961 but all three are republicans
Senator John Thune (R-SD) January 7, 1961
Senator David Vitter (R-LA) - May 3, 1961
Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) - November 17, 1961
There are currently 11 House members that were born in 1961 (I do not recognize most of their names)

And ZERO Governors born in 1961

OP
I think starting back at 50 years ago is good enough to call it a 'current trend'

Sinister, isn't it.
Explain the outlier, Reagan.
And why didn't you include FDR, Ike. JFK, LBJ? I guess they don't fit the pattern.

"First Lady Nancy Reagan was reported to have hired psychics and astrologers to try to protect her husband from the effects of the curse..."
