Could Pot Legalization Amendments be the Way to Get People to the Polls in 2014?

We all know that the GOP successfully used anti-same sex marriage amendments to get people to the polls and re-elect Bush II. Could we use pot legalization amendments to get our base out to the mid-terms and thus, retain the senate and make gains in the house?

It's worth a thought.

I think decriminalization talk could hit people's compassion button more, esp. if it is coupled with the rising prison rates and what once folks get a prison record--they languish the rest of their lives (well, if you have connections you do not--witness the Republican who just got treatment) Personally, I wish all folks could get treatment IF they it. Not prison
