1. There is nothing in that story implacating him.

Those text are from the same day the first guy had to report to Congress, most likely he was asking how his testimony went. This was almost 2 months after the bridge closure & if you put it into context it makes no sense to be directly talking about that.

There is so much left to be uncovered there is no logical reason for anyone to be drafting these halfassed stories that don't prove anything.
