As Memorial Day is upon us,

and as a Vet, I have always gotten the feeling that once we leave the Service Rethugs classify Veterans as "takers."

2. I remember my Dad

taking me to see my Mom's plaque at the Riverside, CA Vet's cemetery on Memorial Day. Way back when. My Dad is beside her now, and I just can't bring myself to go. Shame on me! Although seeing my mom's was cathartic. She was only 49. I can still hear her voice and it's been 30 years ago.

3. Republicans ONLY "heart" Veterans when they're fighting on a battlefield somewhere for the 1%.

Otherwise, "Veterans" are just so much cannon fodder for the GOP. "Big fucking moochers." "On the take." "Get a job, already..." Etc., etc., etc.

Abundantly obvious to anyone who cares to give even a cursory glance at how the GOP votes AGAINST our Vets at home, all the freaking time. And how the DC DEMS <<let>> the GOP get away with it, again, all the freaking time. War, and our Disabled Vets, are all one big freaking joke to the Billionaire Boys Club that IS Washington DC.!!
