Both U.S. Senators, Governor and Attorney General are all Dems...any wonder why?

(671 posts)5. That mostly has to do with the state's changing demographics
although it's possible the McDonnell scandal MIGHT have helped a bit at the margins in the 2013 races for Gov, LG and AG. Hard to say, but I'd say that was a very minor factor, the infinitely bigger one being demographics, combined with Republicans nominating an "extreme team" (Ken Cuccinelli, EW Jackson, Mark Obenshain) that was close to unelectable.
