Pro-Obama Super PAC Goes After Romneys Bain Record
Pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA Action is up with a new $4 million ad campaign attacking Mitt Romneys record at Bain Capital in five swing states. Like the Obama campaigns ads which came out yesterday, the Priorities USA Action ad uses the example of GST Steel in Missouri closing under Bain Capital.
The ad features Pat Wells, a former employee of GST Steel who lost his job and benefits when the Kansas City plant closed.
If we lost, they made money. If we survived, they made money. Its as simple as that, Wells said. He promised us the same things hes promising the United States. And hell give you the same thing he gave us. Nothing. Hell take it all.
At the end of the 30-second spot, text on the screen reads If Mitt Romney wins, the middle class loses.
The ad campaign is airing in Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Virginia and includes both an online and TV presence.

(63,912 posts)1. This is just brutal. And devastating.
I really can't see Romney effectively fighting these ads. How would he possibly do it?

(5,066 posts)2. Republicans
Checking comments at politico their response Is Romney left Bain In 1999 and the planet closed In 2001.
CTyankee
(63,912 posts)3. well, if Romney put the practices in effect and the plant closing was the result, then it
is effective.
The only way you can stop these bastards is to destroy them politically at the outset. Literally grind them into the dust. Like WW2. The Dems are doing the right thing.
No more Mr. Niceguy...

(37,326 posts)4. He had a web ad trying to rebut this, but it's not gonna work to change the narrative of him being
the out-of-touch, uncaring rich guy who only cares about money. The pictures of him with his greased-back hair and money coming out of everywhere says more than anything. Obama is attacking Romney's PERCEIVED strength. And that's effective and FAIR.
