So so proud to be a Democrat..to belong to the Democratic Party..

We voted today.. early voting in Iowa... and I walked out of the court house just feeling great. We have such wonderful canidates running for our state this mid-term..

I could have voted a straight ticket and just filled out the one little oval.. but I relished.. absolutely relished circling each and every democrat in the office they ran for.

Today is a good day to be me

Maybe Skinner should open up a page that just says I voted and people can check in as they get their votes in ... like it A LOT!!

Maybe it's not only my opinion. The Terms of Service don't say that exactly, but they do say other things about not voting that give rise to the inference that DUers should be voting.

that is just energizing..I am one of those who like the physical aspect of getting up and going to the polls.. or in today's case the courthouse.. and being with my fellow Iowans as we make these decisions on who we are going to hire or rehire to run the goverment for us.. I understand the need for mail in votes.. and someday as I get older that may be the way I do it..

It goes up and down.. but looking around town in a very conservative area.. I am seeing a LOT of democratic placards.. her stance on social security has really got a lot of senior republicans shaking their heads..

You would not believe the amount of money that is being thrown into Iowa.. Koch brothers are here.. Karl Rove.. they have big trucks parked in town..

Ernst really is out in the ether.. as they say..

I, too, prefer to fill in all the ovals versus simply voting a straight ticket.

It just feels better to go through the motions.

As I told someone else, it is a two sided ballot, and I worry people who vote just the straight ticket will not realize that the back of the ballot has no party designation.. that of judges etc..

It feels like you are voting and feels good to vote against every republican on the ballot.

I don't know if I trust the single vote oval either.

for
me.. I just loved the moment..there was no one behind me, so I did not feel like I was taking someones time.. and I too have a little unease with voting just straight line.. because you have to turn the ballot over to vote for judges, extension, etc.. and they are not party affiliated..

isn't it? Just saw a poll that she's leading by a larger margin than before. Also, wasn't she in the military? Heard veterans are going to be voting for her big time.

Could be wrong, but she IS ahead from what I've seen.

Ernst is a veteran.. but she is also supporting changing Social Security .. so this is a pretty old state age wise.. She has really angered a lot of seniors..and republican seniors..
