The Chamber of Commerce: Brazen Liars

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is inundating Orlando with TV ads that are brazen lies. Which makes them brazen liars. Let me tell you about (as now-Sen. Al Franken once put it) "Lies, and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them."

The Chamber ad professes that Obamacare, which I voted for, "could cause 20 million people to lose their current coverage." True or false? Well, according to Politifact, it's not just false, it's "liar, liar, pants-on-fire" false.

Give us a fighting chance to trump their lies with the our truth. Contribute to our "Fight Back" Fund today.

On the first day that the Chamber of Commerce aired this flagrant fiction against Senator Nelson (D-FL) and me, Politifact provided a detailed analysis that concluded: "we rate the statement Pants on Fire!" Factcheck.org, another independent, non-partisan authority, then rated it "False." Under the headline "Chamber Continues to Mislead on Health Care Law," Factcheck.org stated: "The U.S. Chamber of Commerce's latest onslaught of television ads continues to miseducate voters about the potential impact of the heath care law." The truth is that Obamacare extends healthcare to more than 30 million people who don't have now it – precisely the opposite of what the Chamber of Commerce is blaring out to voters in my district.

How can we let this go on? We cannot let the voters be fooled by this outrageous deception. We need your help, and we need it now.

If the Chamber of Commerce had even a shred of integrity, it would have pulled these ads off the air immediately. But instead, the Chamber of Commerce continues its steady drumbeat of lie-lie-lie, hoping that repetition becomes a substitute for candor.

The 2012 election is very quickly becoming a contest not between right and left, but between right and wrong. Whose side are you on? And can I count on you?

Show your support for truth. Donate to our "Fight Back" fund. And do it now, before it's too late.

Courage,

Alan Grayson

Pray:
We don't get fooled again.
Don't get fooled again.
No, no, no!

Meet the new boss.
Same as the old boss."
