I know this was a hoax but could the mention of Obama as a 'metrosexual' be to confuse people

now that Obama has come out in favour of same sex marriage?

"SNIP....................................................

Part of American political lore is the Smathers "redneck speech," which Smathers reportedly delivered to a poorly educated audience. The "speech" was never given; it was a hoax dreamed up by one reporter. Time Magazine, during the campaign, falsely claimed that Smathers said this:

Are you aware that Claude Pepper is known all over Washington as a shameless extrovert? Not only that, but this man is reliably reported to practice nepotism with his sister-in-law, he has a brother who is a known homo sapiens,[9] and he has a sister who was once a thespian in wicked New York. Worst of all, it is an established fact that Mr. Pepper, before his marriage, habitually practiced celibacy.[10]

not knowing the correct answer which was Eli Whitney. Demonstrating that they didn't learn much in high school or college.

I don't know if people remember when People magazine did stories about metrosexuals. Metrosexuals are obviously cooler than ordinary cool people. Just think, Obama could pull a Romney and refuse to apologize for being a success of "cool." Isn't it better to be super cool than have flip-flopping French horses?

The Claude Pepper story is amazing and amusing. Maybe "those" people who fell for it wouldn't vote for Obama anyway.

No confusion, just calling him a "f*g" for the RWer homophobe jeerleaders without using that exact word.
