2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI thought the GOP was going to really go all out this year with their election fraud, and the
article in Bradblog below pretty much convinces me that the GOP has stolen the election
again. They've done it BIG TIME this year.
I also am thinking. What's the point of having any election at all, if it is going to
continue to be the big farce the way it is now - time, after time, after time?
As Stalin once said, "The voters don't matter. What does matter are those who count
the votes." Our nation has become Sovietized. There has got to be a change in the
entire voting system. We need one in which cheating is rendered impossible.
An example: My state is a solidly Democratic one, yet the machine I used for voting was
made by Diebold!!! Are we Democrats simply apathetic, or are we just totally stupid?!
The article by BradBlog below is quite long and thorough, with enough of examples
to convince anyone.

(45,319 posts)These are not Federal Elections, they are State elections which in part elect officials who serve in Federal government from the States.
The elections systems in my State are just fine.

(7,018 posts)it have been done honestly? It's possible but not likely. The fraud must have been enormous!

(45,319 posts)Running an honest election is not rocket science. Nor is creating easy access to voting for all residents of your State. It's not hard, but it does take effort between cycles.

(725 posts)Brad, I hope you know how much you are appreciated!
I had read the Brad's Blog referenced above, and in the comments another of your readers had wondered if you had done any comparisons against those few places that don't use touch screen voting. Then, before I got to chasing that down I ran up on another DU Post, from ErikJ, 10025783303: titled, "Why did Oregon get bluer while the nation got redder?"
Erik noted the exception to the national trend was Oregon where Democrats held the governorship while picking up seats in the state Legislature and he pondered, "So, why did Oregonians step a little closer to the Democrats while their counterparts across the country stepped away?"
Oregon seemed exceptional in several ways, but I wondered how much their ballots by mail played in their results being more reasonable than many across the country.
Have you had an opportunity to look at that angle?
Thanks so much for all you do for our democracy!!!

(7,018 posts)from the picture altogether. You know, I am firmly convinced that nothing in this world lasts
forever. The only guarantee in this earth of ours is change. Some day the greedy and corrupt
rule of corporate psychopaths will come to an end too. How, I don't know. But it will not end
until it is made to end. There will be strife, conflict and great expenditure of effort and energy
involved. Rome lasted 1,000 years. But even Rome's 1,000 year rule came to an end.

sentence when found guilty. It's the only way psychopaths will comply. They also want to
avoid punishment, just like anybody else.
