They seem to be taking their cues from the rePIGlican playbook on all the social and religious issues.

I've read that assessment somewhere recently...and I could see just by looking at my voter rolls when I was a Democratic Ward Committee person that almost all the nuns in my division were Dems. Probably 90 %. Staunch ones, too. They ALWAYS voted. And they voted the Liberal line, as far as I could tell. (My division was full of Catholic institutions run by the sisters....a college, several primary and secondary schools, even a retirement home for nuns.)

(2,185 posts)and any earthly leader who builds altars is worth membership in the cult.
To hell with what the nuns, or any of the damnable protestants,
or cults or pagans or atheists think.
The hierarchy betrays the teachings of Jesus constantly,
and sadly too many of their flock just tremble along,
shamed into living and voting against their own self-interest..
because.. yanoo... if you don't obey, you go to hell.
