But after reading the rest of the Times piece with a fine-tooth comb, I found no mention of any specific regulation that was actually violated. And that's because there wasn't one: The regulation to which they seem to be referring was signed into law nearly two years after she left the State Department, as USA Today later clarified in an amazing feat of actual journalism:

Again, the Times does not clarify which exact regulations may or may not have been followed. If they are again referring to the Presidential and Federal Records Act Amendments of 2014, this statement is misleading at best. But even if similar regulations were in place during Secretary Clinton's tenure, the emails from her personal account are still retained because they were received on Department email accounts. As later noted by The Hill, this conforms to the letter of the law:

5. Jeb Bush --knew it was coming, and likely planned it with the media

The media perpetrated a hit job with Jeb and Co. Recall how adept the Bush team is at using the media.

He knew it was coming and sent out all of his e-mails (bumbling it of course by including citizens' private information). And then the overblown story of Clinton's emails comes out.

The Bush BS is starting early.

she must have known this was coming for some time. Better to get it out now, well before the election. Even those who are pouting about it the most will have trouble feigning outrage next year.
