Related: About this forumUpset By Elizabeth Warren, U.S. Banks Debate Halting Some Campaign Donations
Big Wall Street banks are so upset with U.S. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren's call for them to be broken up that some have discussed withholding campaign donations to Senate Democrats in symbolic protest, sources familiar with the discussions said.
Representatives from Citigroup, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America, have met to discuss ways to urge Democrats, including Warren and Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown, to soften their party's tone toward Wall Street, sources familiar with the discussions said this week.

(1 post)Netanyahu, US 2016 elections.

Jeb Bush learned this week just how hot the issue of Israels Netanyahu has become, when he had to distance himself from one of his own advisers who criticized Netanyahus post-election comments. Not only did a spokeswoman for the former Florida governor state that he disagrees with the sentiments that former Secretary of State James Baker expressed, but an op-ed published in the National Review on Wednesday made things extra clear. This is no way to treat an ally... this is no time for schoolyard antics, Bush wrote of Obama chastising Netanyahu.
Clinton will be challenged to make stand on Israels Netanyahus crazy attempts to destroy every chance for peaceful dialogue on Palestine or Iran. As secretary of State, she went far enough in supporting the hawks while making lib service in support of the presidents policies.
The Republican nominee will likely be backed by casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, and be ardently pro-Israel and hawkish on Iran. At a gathering of Israeli Americans in November, Democrat Haim Saban, a media mogul, joined Adelson in a commitment to supporting Israel and taking a hard line against Iran. He made it clear Clinton has earned his support and that he will do whatever it takes read: spend to get her elected. But Saban has criticized the negotiations with Iran and supports legislation to ensure any deal with Iran is submitted to Congress for a 60-day review. He is clearly not interested in the continuation of Obamas administration policy on Israel.
Throughout the 2016 primary, the GOP will take aim at Obama and the Democrats on Israel, and, therefore Obama is facing the wrath of both his usual haters and the make-believe Democrats like Haim Saban and many others. Even liberals in Israel are circling the wagons to launch a frontal assault on the president.
Team Clinton is taking note of the rise of Jewish Republicans. A relatively new phenomenon, but not surprising since the pressure of money does not recognize what is good for the country any more. The Democratic process is in a state of free fall, but the likes of Saban and Adelson always get their way. It seems unlikely that in 2016, a grass-root Democrat will get money or media support. When Democrats stand on principal that is not acceptable to the AIPAC (Israels Lobby), this unholy alliance is immediately going to manage and influence the issues in the same way it did for 60 years.
Republicans have already sunk their teeth into this opportunity. And they wont let go.
Clinton will struggle with this but indeed she will tow the line, or, she will lose the contributions and media support. This will again bring her to become hawkish as she was on Libya and Syria.
Elizabeth Warren, who seems to be the grass-root hope-nominee is yet to get her massage out, a massage that seems to resonate with the voters across ideologies: holding the money influence back to make for good election; but the Democratic leadership do not seem to understand that they need somebody like Warren to get out the vote. As of now, it seems like we are going to have a government made up totally of Republicans Neo-cons, the illusion of tea-party not withstanding.
