I can't believe your grandpa used to do that because my dad, a WWII Vet, did the same thing!

I always thought it was kind of funny, but you wouldn't doubt his patriotism, AND he was a rock solid union Democrat, to boot!

for Nixon. I was 5 years old & still remember the arguments, LOL. Mom never stopped apologizing for her "bone headed vote". She thought Kennedy was too young. I miss both of them. I lost my dad to ALS in 2000 & my mom in 2006.

Reminds me of the time I brought my 80+ Uncle to see President Clinton...I was blown away by how the SS made sure the POTUS came to him.

i'm a long time lurker and first time poster. i joined just to say wow. there is more integrity and more respect in this one man's actions than in all of the republican blather of the last decade. Thanks to Mr. Hackney for his service.

My dad was a WWII Vet and a rock solid democrat..This would have

Archie Hackney, my wonderful father passed away peacefully January 29, 2014. He was a very "special" person!
